Every year on August 12, the globe honors the vitality, potential, and contributions of young people. Here in Nigeria, it provides a forum to increase understanding of the difficulties our youth encounter and acknowledge their contributions to bringing about social, economic, and political change. 

Nigeria is blessed with an active youth population that has seen the country become a pacesetter in different endeavors such as Sports, technology, tourism, transport, entertainment and now politics. The importance of the International Youth Day cannot be overemphasized as It is now a day set aside to increase awareness for support for youth empowerment, encourage their active participation in decision-making processes, and well-being through a variety of activities, initiatives and conversations.
